2017 5 star point guard Collin Sexton took an official visit to NC State on the first weekend in September, and then visited Alabama the following weekend. Here is what Sexton had to say to Scout’s Evan Daniels about his visit to NC State:
“I liked the visit,” Sexton said. “I didn’t really get to talk to the other players much, since it was Labor Day, but I thought it was good. I can do that in the future if I decide to go there.”
“I thought it was pretty good,” he added. “[Mark Gottfried] laid everything out. Showed me the dorms. Showed me everything. He let me talk to the people there. I thought it was all around pretty good.”
“Just being me and coming in and play,” he said. “They don’t want me to change anything. They like the way I play.” (Scout)
He also told Daniels that the three coaches that he has built the best relationships with are Mark Gottfried, Avery Johnson, and Bill Self.
