NC State Uni Watch For South Carolina
NC State has unveiled the uniform combination that they will be wearing in Charlotte tomorrow against South Carolina. When they run out onto the field of Bank of America Stadium, this is what they will look like.
The Wolfpack wore this uniform combination twice last year, and were 1-1 when they did.
Wake Forest – 33-16
Miami (FL) – 13-27
They wore the uniforms well against Wake, dropping 527 yards of offense on the Deacs. Ryan Finley was 23 of 36 for 300 yards, with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. Kelvin Harmon and Steph Louis had their coming out parties, with Harmon catching two touchdowns, and Louis crossing the century mark with 102 yards receiving. J-Sam led the team with 7 receptions, that went for 50 yards and a touchdown.
The last time they wore this Uni combo, they didn’t wear it very well at all. Miami covered the 2.5 spread and then some, beating the Wolfpack 27-13. Finley had his second worst performance of the season against the Hurricanes, connecting on only 20 of his 44 passes for 210 yards and an interception. Harmon and Louis were still productive, with the former catching 4 balls for 68 yards, and the latter collecting 5 for 70.
NC State Cornerback Shyheim Battle has received an invitation from the New York Jets to participate in their Rookie Mini Camp.

Battle had 1 year of eligibility remaining, but declared for the NFL Draft on January 3rd.
He finished this past year as the most experienced player on the Wolfpack’s defense, starting in 41 of the 51 games he has played in dating back to 2019. In a rarity in this day-and-age, Battle was a 4-year starter at the Cornerback position for NC State. He graduated with a degree in Communications.
In his final season in Red and White, Battle had 46 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, 4 pass breakups and 1 fumble recovery. His PFF Grade of 70.6 was the 7th best on the Wolfpack defense.
NC State Tight End Trent Pennix has signed an Undrafted Free Agent deal with the Indianapolis Colts.

In his final year in Raleigh, Pennix had 15 receptions for 190 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 2 times for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Pennix arrived at NC State as a Running Back out of Sanderson High School in Raleigh.
