5 Star Keldon Johnson Will Announce Decision Saturday

Published

on

This Saturday night at 6pm, NC State 5 Star 2018 Shooting Guard target Keldon Johnson will be announcing his college decision.

The Wolfpack technically doesn’t have any more scholarships available in 2018, unless Omer Yurtseven leaves early or someone transfers. The likelihood of this happening on a yearly basis is pretty high. With that being said, for a player like Johnson, NC State will find a way to make room.

From the beginning, people thought he was a Texas lean. Johnson plays for Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, and the Longhorns head coach Shaka Smart is no stranger to Virginia, coaching VCU for years. Recently Kentucky has made a big push for Keldon as well, possibly taking the lead in the mind of some analysts. But don’t count out NC State. No one has recruited Johnson harder than they have, and according to our intel, his father would love for him to stay closer to home, and play at NC State, so he can attend all of his games.

4-Star SF Patrick Williams Announcing College Choice Today

Published

on

4-Star 2019 Small Forward Patrick Williams (6’7”/180) will be announcing his college decision today.

Williams listed NC State in his Top-10 along with Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Maryland, Texas, Clemson, Louisville, Arizona, Florida State and Ohio State in August.

Out of all of those schools, Williams has only taken officials to NC State and Florida State. Williams took his official visit to Raleigh with Jalen Lecque, who committed to NC State earlier this week.

Williams plays for West Charlotte High School (Charlotte, NC), and is ranked by ESPN as the #46 overall player in the 2019 recruiting class, and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

The popular thought is that Williams will commit to Florida State today, with 100% of the 247Sports Crystal Ball Projections pointing that direction, but we will have to wait and see.

5-Star SF Wendell Moore Announcing College Choice Monday

Published

on

5-Star 2019 Small Forward Wendell Moore, one of NC State’s most coveted recruiting targets, will be announcing his college choice on Monday, October 8th.

Moore is the #1 player in the state of North Carolina according to ESPN, and the #18 overall player in the 2019 recruiting class. He included NC State in his Top 5 on May 4th.

NC State originally offered Moore a scholarship before he even stepped foot on the court as a freshman in high school.

Pretty much every national recruiting analyst is convinced that Moore will end up choosing Duke or UNC, but 14 of the 15 247Sports analysts project he’ll choose the Blue Devils.

Moore’s Final 4 schools are NC State, Duke, UNC and Wake Forest. He took official visits to all 4 schools, as well as Wake Forest, and NC State was his 1st.

Moore broke down his official visit to Raleigh here.

Despite everyone being convinced that Moore is heading to Durham, Kevin Keatts and his coaches have never let up on recruiting Moore one bit throughout the process.
