According to Jonathan Jones of Sports Illustrated, NC State defensive end Kentavius Street has suffered a ‘significant knee injury.’

Street was projected to be a 7th round pick, or a free-agent pickup, but his athleticism was more than likely going to get him drafted.

Street participated in the NFL Combine, and ran a 4.87 40-yard dash, and did 28 reps on the bench press, but was unable to physically do any of the other drills, having to sit out with his leg wrapped up.

This was very dissapointing, because the Combine was where Street was going to see his stock soar.

SupaStreet was able to participate in NC State’s Pro Day here recently, and it’s seemed like his stock might be rising, but if Jones’ report is true, this is extremely devastating news.

If this report is true, it isn’t likely that Street will be drafted or be picked up as a free agent, but don’t count him out. With his raw athletic ability and work ethic, after he recovers, I could easily see him being signed as a free agent, and added to a practice squad.
