NC State Football Bowl Game Prediction Changes

Last week, State was destined for Orlando and the Cheez-It Bowl. That seems to have changed.

More and more projections have Clemson heading to Orlando instead. While distance between Clemson and Raleigh to Orlando are nearly identical, the Bowl committee is more interested in a Tigers versus Oklahoma situation.

Which means that with Gator Bowl and Cheez-It Bowl out, State might be heading cross country to San Diego. The Holiday Bowl, which plays on December 28th, would be a matchup with either UCLA or Arizona State. Both, unbiased of course, seem like very winnable games.

It is disappointing that State won’t likely be in Orlando. Not only because of much better traveling conditions for WPN, but the OU game would have been a really great barometer for the State program. Have a chance to face Big 12/new SEC, regardless of the turmoil over there, and win?

With Championship Saturday, comes official selections shortly after. Keep your eyes peeled, folks.
