Top-50 4-Star Safety Jordan Young Includes NC State in Top Four

4-Star 2025 Safety Jordan Young (6’0″/170) released his Top-4 schools yesterday, and NC State made the cut along with Michigan, FSU and Clemson.

Alabama, Tennessee, UNC, and Texas A&M were in his Top-8 back at the end of April, but didn’t make the most recent cut.

Young plans on announcing his college decision on October 12th.

The consensus 4-Star prospect plays for Monroe High School (Monroe, NC). All 4 recruiting databases rank him in the Top-200 overall nationally, with ESPN ranking him 39th overall, the #3 ranked Safety and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

This past season, Young had 66 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries, 1 interception and 3 pass breakups for Monroe High School. On the offensive side of the ball, he had 34 receptions for 812 yards and 8 touchdowns.

3-Star OT Brady Sakowitz Commits to NC State!

2026 3-Star Offensive Tackle Brady Sakowitz (6’7″/325) has verbally committed to NC State!

Sakowitz plays for Trinity Episcopal in Richmond, Virginia. He chose to run with the Wolfpack over offers from Virginia, Marshall, Maryland, Miami, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Duke, Pitt and Syracuse.

Sakowitz was in town for NC State’s game against Wake Forest two weeks ago.

The Wolfpack now has 2 commitments in their 2026 recruiting class, with Sakowitz joining 3-Star Quarterback Jacob Smith.

NC State’s 2025 Football Recruiting Class Ranks 48th After Whitset Commitment

After the commitment of 4-Star Offensive Tackle Takhyian Whitset yesterday, NC State’s 2025 Football recruiting class ranks 48th nationally according to ON3.

Rivals also ranks the Wolfpack’s class 48th, while 247Sports ranks it 50th.

4-Star OT Takhyian Whitset Flips Commitment from Purdue to NC State!

4-Star 2025 Offensive Tackle Takhyian Whitset (6’5″/265) took an Official Visit to NC State last weekend, while he was still verbally committed to Purdue. He committed to the Boilermakers on April 30th earlier this year, but after taking his Official Visit to Raleigh last weekend, Whitset decommitted from Purdue on Wednesday.

Whitset announced that he is committing to NC State today!

Whitset plays for Antioch in Nashville, Tennessee. ON3 ranks him as the #238 overall player nationally, the #20 Offensive Tackle nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #8 player in the state of Tennessee.

According to ON3, Whitset is instantly the 4th highest rated prospect in the Wolfpack’s 2025 17-man recruiting class.
