JUCO DB Aaron Maddox Talks to PI About NC State Offer

Published

on

NC State offered JUCO defensive back Aaron Maddox last Wednesday, and I was able to catch up with him, and get his thoughts on the Wolfpack offer.

On how he received the offer and who he talked to…

They gave me a phone call. It was the first I’d heard from them. I got to talk to Coach Doeren and Coach Henry.

On what they liked about his game…

They said they love my size and ability to flip my hips, and how I’m valuable, due to my return ability too. They said I can tackle, cover, and compete with the best and they like how I love to hit.

Maddox has official visits scheduled for Colorado and Louisville. On whether or not he’s interested in visiting NC State…

Yes I am! I’m gonna make that decision this weekend! (This past weekend)

On what he’s looking for in a school…

I’m looking for that connection between coaches that makes me feel at home.

On what all of the recent FBS offers mean to him…

It’s a blessing, I received one d1aa offer in highscool and I turned that down to go JuCo because it wasn’t my dream to play d1aa. I’ve had most all my friends and coaches give up on me and say I’ve made a bad decision.  I’ve always believed in myself. I know my talents and I knew if I worked my tail off, I would succeed and receive the D1 schools of my dream.
