The new AP poll is out today and the ACC has three teams ranked in the Top 25:
Florida St – 8th (+3)
Clemson – 11th (+1)
Georgia Tech – 14th (+1)
All three of the the ACC teams in the AP poll moved up from where they were in last weeks poll. FSU defeated South Florida 34-14, Clemson defeated Appalachian State 41-10, and Georgia Tech defeated Tulane 65-10.
NC State gained 10 more votes this week, receiving 14 votes after defeating Eastern Kentucky 35-0 last night. The extra votes moved them up to 35th overall in the AP poll heading into Week 3 against Old Dominion.
The Wolfpack were one of 4 ACC schools that received votes in this weeks AP poll, but failed to make the Top 25.
NC State – 12 (35th)
Maimi – 3 (41st)
Virginia Tech – 2 (43rd)
Duke – 1 (45th)
Miami defeated Florida Atlantic 44-20 and Duke defeated North Carolina Central 55-0. Every ACC team that received votes in the AP Poll are 2-0 except Virginia Tech. After losing to Ohio State in Week 1, they bounced back and defeated Furman 42-3.
