Well, it’s been a crazy 24 hours following whether or not NC State Wide Receiver Devin Carter was going pro, transferring, or returning to NC State.
Yesterday in a press conference, Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren announced that Carter would not be playing in the Bowl game, because he was entering the NFL Draft.
Shortly thereafter, Carter tweeted otherwise, stating that he hadn’t made a decision about his future yet.
Well, now it’s official. Carter isn’t currently entering the NFL Draft, but he is entering the Transfer Portal.
Carter has been at NC State for 5 years, and finished his career in Raleigh with 118 receptions for 1,906 yards and 10 touchdowns.
NC State now has 4 players that have entered the Transfer Portal: WR Jasiah Provillon, QB Devin Carter, DT Joshua Harris and WR Devin Carter.
I assume he’ll still put his name in for the NFL draft. Entering the portal keeps all options open, smart thing to do.
Definitely wish him the best.
