The 23rd ranked NC State Men’s Soccer team kicked off their season last night with a 3-1 victory over USC Upstate at home.
Freshman Ivy Brisma scored his first career goal 7 minutes into the game on an assist from Sophomore David Loera (2017 NC State assist leader), to put the Pack up 1-0.
Then at the 31:56 mark, Junior Tyler Gabarra scored on an assist from Sophomore Manny Perez.
The Wolfpack entered the half with a 2-0 lead, but USC Upstate scored shortly into the second half, making it a one score game, but then Sophomore Brad Sweeney scored his first career goal to put the game away at the 74 minute mark on a free kick.
Freshmen Ivy Brisma and Pepe Garcia both got the start in their 1st college game.
The Wolfpack have a steep challenge in their second game of the season on Monday against #4 Akron on the road.
