Wolfpack secondary coach Aaron Henry named rising star in 247’s ’30 Under 30′

247 sports recently released their ’30 Under 30′ list, which selected the rising stars of the college football coaching ranks.

On that list, and deservedly so, was NC State’s secondary coach Aaron Henry.

Henry is probably best known to Pack fans for his pregame speech that went viral last season. In case you missed it, here it is…

But Henry isn’t just a motivator in the locker room. He’s also one of NC State’s best recruiters. Here is what 247 had to say about him in their article.

Aaron Henry, NC State, Secondary Coach (29): Henry brings a lot to the table for the Wolfpack: He’s entering his second season as the nickelbacks coach, he moonlights as the team’s motivational speaker prior to each game and he’s a proven recruiter with some four-star skins on the wall. (247)

If you remember back in late November, when Doeren was jockeying for a new contract, he was wanting more pay and security for his assistants. He got that, which means his right-hand men (including Henry) are getting well compensated for their work. Will that be enough when schools start calling around looking for the next ‘up and coming’ head coach?

We’ll have to wait and see.
