NC State has now started 4-0 under Dave Doeren for the 3rd time (2014, 15, 18) in 6 seasons.

The Wolfpack has yet to go 5-0 under his watch.

The last time NC State started the season 5-0 was all the way back in 2002, when the Wolfpack started the season with 9 straight victories.

If NC State were to beat Boston College this Saturday and improve to 5-0, they would become only the 8th team in school history to do so.

NC State Teams to Start Season 5-0
(Rank after Winning 5th Game in AP Poll)
2002 – 9-0 (17)
1991 – 6-0 (16)
1989 – 6-0 (14)
1974 – 6-0 (11)
1967 – 8-0 (5)
1909 – 6-0
1907 – 5-0

NC State is currently a 4-point favorite against Boston College, and Dave Doeren’s Wolfpack teams have won 82% of the games when they have been picked to win.

Hopefully for Doeren, the third time is the charm, and he can get the monkey off his back, and lead the Wolfpack to a historic 5-0 start.
