Tonight marks the 12th time that NC State and Syracuse have played one another, and historically the Wolfpack have had complete control of the series, boasting a 10-1 record against the Orangemen.

The series dates back to 1972, with NC State beating Syracuse all 4 times in the 70’s. They went on to beat the Orangemen both times in the 90’s as well.

The first time that NC State lost to Syracuse was the first time the two faced each other as ACC foes, as well as the first year of the Dave Doeren Era. Since then, Doeren has beaten Cuse 4 years in a row.

The Wolfpack holds an undefeated record in The Carrier Dome (5-0), and looks to make it six straight on the road against Syracuse tonight. Tonight marks the third time that NC State has played Syracuse while ranked, winning both of the prior contests.
