The NC State Defense was decimated by the Syracuse offense, giving up 561 yards of total offense. There was one Wolfpack defensive player that wasn’t stifled: Redshirt Graduate Senior Linebacker Germaine Pratt.

He had 16 tackles (Career High), 2.5 sacks (Career High), 2.5 tackles for loss (Career High) and 1 forced fumble.

Pratt’s explosion marked the first time a Wolfpack defender recorded 15+ tackles in a game since Safety Josh Jones posted 20 tackles against Miami on November 11, 2016.

If Pratt keeps up his current pace, he will finish the year with 136 tackles. That would be the best single-season tally since Safety Earl Wolff recorded 145 tackles in 2012.

I mean no disrespect to Jerod Fernandez or Airius Moore, but Pratt should have been a starting linebacker at NC State prior to his Senior season. He’s sensational.
