Wolfpack fans want an ACC Championship, and rightfully so. NC State hasn’t taken home a trophy since 1979, which is the longest drought of any team in the conference.
Fans want to see the Pack stop losing games they “should” win, and pick up a few wins against teams they “shouldn’t” beat. Agreed, still some work to be done here.
With that being said, in the midst of the instability that is much of the ACC, the Wolfpack have been consistent the past two years, and consistency is a key ingredient in the recipe for cooking championship football.
If NC State loses to UNC, I will likely rip this article off the interwebs, and go into a season of mourning, rolling in sackcloth and ashes Old Testament style.
Even if the unspeakable happens, NC State would still at worst have the 3rd best, and possibly still the 2nd best ACC record over the past two seasons.
I can’t believed I typed into the universe the possibility of the Wolfpack losing to the Tar Heels. Everyone find some wood and knock on it till your knuckles bruise.
