Defensive Tackle Shug Frazier No Longer on NC State’s Roster

Earlier today we noticed that Redshirt Sophomore Defensive Tackle Shug Frazier wasn’t on the roster at GoPack.com.

James Henderson of InsidePackSports has confirmed with a school official that Frazier is no longer a member of the NC State football team.

Frazier has served as the backup to Senior Nose Guard Eurndraus Bryant this year, but would have had a serious chance at the starting job next year.

The reason for Frazier’s exodus is unknown at this point.

Frazier had 9 tackles in 9 games as a reserve this year.

Redshirt Sophomore Val Martin played his first 31 snaps of the season last week, and he was productive, recording his first 4 tackles at NC State.
