Men’s Basketball: NC State 107 FIU 74: BOX SCORE

The NC State Men’s Basketball team improved to 3-0 tonight, defeating FIU 107-74.

Senior Point Guard Jarkel Joiner went ballistic, scoring 26 points, hitting 6 of 8 from deep. He also had 5 assists with 0 turnovers, and had 3 steals.

Senior Guard Casey Morsell had a career high 26 points. He couldn’t miss, hitting 1o of 13 from the field, and a gaudy 6 of 7 from beyond the arc. He also had 3 steals.

Sophomore Guard Terquavion Smith had 15 points, 6 assists (6 turnovers) and 6 steals. Lil T wasn’t shooting the ball well tonight, hitting 1 of his 8 three-point attempts, but he managed to make an impact all over the stat sheet. He led the team in assists and steals.

Senior Forward Dusan Mahorcic had 12 points (4-5 FG), 7 rebounds (team high) and 3 steals.

Freshman Guard LJ Thomas had a career high 12 points, shooting 5 of 7 from the field, and hit both his three-point attempts.

Sophomore Forward Ernest Ross led the team with 3 blocks.
