Notes

  • After a stellar performance against Notre Dame, True Freshman Juice Vereen saw a decrease in playing time against VMI. Against the Irish, he played in 46% of the snaps, he only played in 17% against VMI.
  • Center Dylan McMahon only played in 12 snaps before leaving the game with an injury. Redshirt Sophomore Lyndon Cooper started the game at Left Guard, which is significant, because he had been battling Redshirt Sophomore Anthony Carter Jr. for the starting job there. When McMahon went down, Cooper moved over to Center.
  • It’s fascinating how NC State is using Redshirt Freshman Jacarrius Peak as a blocker at Tight End, playing 16 snaps there.
  • Tight End Trent Pennix has seen his snaps increase each game (6, 23, 28), and Tight End Christopher Toudle has seen his snaps decrease every game (36, 36, 2).
  • Running Back Jordan Houston has seen his snaps decrease in each game (40, 35, 16), and Sophomore Running Back Michael Allen played 22 snaps against VMI, which was his highest total of the season.
