MJ Morris Decides to Redshirt Remainder of the Season

Published

on

Welp.

MJ Morris has apparently made the decision to redshirt the remainder of the season.

Is there any indication that he is hurt? No.

This decision comes after helping NC State beat Clemson and Miami in back-to-back games…two monumental wins for the Wolfpack.

According to WRAL, Morris’ father said that he is not leaving the program.

“No one said he is leaving the program,” Eddie Morris told WRAL. “Nobody said he is leaving the program. If he would have left the program, he would have left in January and he would have left in May. He had plenty of options.” (WRAL)

Morris was practicing for NC State today, but obviously Brennan Armstrong was playing as the starter.

If you make this move, you better be planning on transferring.

I can’t understand a scenario where you willingly sit out the rest of the season, instead of helping your teammates finish the season strong, unless you were transferring. If you actually were planning to stay on the team, how the heck do you explain that to your teammates?

NC State fans owe Brennan Armstrong an apology.

College football is disorienting and insane.

When has a player been able to make the decision to redshirt? I thought it was the coaching staff decision. If he decided on his own, then he should not be on the team anymore. Quit catering to these kids and find some real men to play. BA is ready and by looking at the stats, there is more stability with BA.

Not shocking. Others have been in his ear regarding a bigger stage and more NIL. Threw the team mates he said he so cared for under the bus though.
