NC State LB Payton Wilson is 1 of 3 Bednarik Award Finalists

Prior to today, NC State Linebacker Payton Wilson was already named a Finalist for the Butkus and Nagurski Awards. Today he completed the trifecta, being named a Finalist for the Bednarik Award, which is awarded to the nations best defensive player in college football, like the Nagurski.

No NC State player has ever won the Bednarik Award, but former Wolfpacker Bradley Chubb was a finalist in 2017.

Here is how Wilson compares to the other two finalists, Alabama Linebacker Dallas Turner and UCLA’s Defensive End Laiatu Latu.
