Last night, 4-year starting Center at Notre Dame, Zeke Correll, committed to run with the Wolfpack. I caught up with him, and he broke down his commitment to NC State.

What ultimately led you to enter the Portal for your final year?

I was looking for a program that truly valued my leadership. This being my last season, I wanted to play for a coaching staff that had my best interest in mind, and will help me develop into an NFL-ready Offensive Lineman. That is what is here at NC State.

Walk me through the Official Visit, and the impression it made.

The official was great. I met with the coaches a bunch, ate a lot of good food, and truly got to talk some ball. All attractive stuff.

What was it about NC State that led you to commit?

This program is on the rise. Coach Doeren has groomed an elite staff that truly cares about their players. I wanted to come to NC State to improve under coaches that are passionate about helping their players do so. Coach 2J is the guy for me.

What do you bring to the Wolfpack offensive line?

I bring a battle-tested experience and command presence that I believe will help raise the standard of the room.

What was the message of the coaching staff?

They can help me accomplish the goals that I have set, and I can help them achieve what they are set to achieve. It is very rare that time and opportunity align like this. The stars are aligned. GO PACK!
