PI EXCLUSIVE: Tight End Dante Daniels Breaks Down His Commitment to NC State

JUCO Tight End Dante Daniels committed to NC State yesterday. I caught up with Daniels to get his take on why he chose to run with the Wolfpack.

Walk me through the Official Visit, and the impression it made.

The official visit was amazing. It made me feel at home. All the coaches and players were very welcoming and were very caring.

What was it about NC State that led you to commit?

How it’s a Pack and not just one person. Everyone is bought in and they are there for the same goal. The coaches have a plan for me to make an impact on the team.

What do you bring to the Wolfpack Tight End room?

I bring high energy. I am also a big body that will stick my nose in the run game, and be able to create separation in the pass game.

What was the message of the coaching staff?

Their message was to come in here and buy in! Just be myself and that will help the team tremendously.

How do you think Junior College has prepared you for this opportunity?

I think Junior College has helped me out, getting a college feel in the classroom, plus a Division-I feel on the field, especially with how fast the Jayhawk conference plays. You’re playing Division-I bounce backs and big time Division-I commits week in and week out.
