Vegas Believes NC State is the Odds on Favorite to Land Coastal Carolina Transfer QB Grayson McCall

I’m not sure when Vegas got into the business of setting odds of where players in the Transfer Portal would land, but here we are. According to the bookmakers in Vegas, NC State is the odds on favorite to land former Coastal Carolina Quarterback Grayson McCall.

That’s a 60% belief that McCall will run with the Wolfpack.

McCall took an Official Visit to NC State beginning on Friday, and then spent the 2nd half of the weekend on an Official Visit at Central Florida.

He was the Sun Belt Player of the year in 2020, 2021 and 2022, which I don’t care what conference you play in…that’s impressive. McCall didn’t play in the final 5 games of the season due to injury this year, and prior to injury, the numbers weren’t on par with prior years. It was also his first year with Tim Beck as Coastal’s head coach.

After last season, McCall entered the Transfer Portal, and there was speculation that he would transfer to Auburn. In the end, McCall pulled his name out of the portal.

247Sports ranks McCall as the #13 Quarterback in the Portal this year.
