Tulane Transfer Safety DJ Douglas (6’0″/205) confirmed with me that he will be taking an Official Visit to NC State this weekend, beginning today.

Douglas started out as a walk-0n at Alabama, where he redshirted the 2019 season, and played in 1 game in 2020 against Mississippi State. Douglas then transferred to Tulane in 2021, where he was given a scholarship. In his first season, he played in 6 games on defense (10 games played on Special Teams), making 5 tackles. As a Redshirt Sophomore, Douglas’ role increased, playing Safety for the Green Wave in all 14 games (247 snaps), making 19 tackles. This season, Douglas finally snagged a starting Safety role, starting every game for Tulane. As a Redshirt Junior, he had 54 tackles, 3 interceptions and 5 pass breakups.

Douglas’ PFF grade this season was 72.4.

ON3 ranks Douglas as a 3-star Transfer prospect.
