Rivals is the only recruiting database that ranks Brown as a 4-star prospect, with the other three giving him 3 stars. Rivals ranks Brown as the #233 overall player nationally in the 2024 recruiting class, the #27 Cornerback and the #8 player of the state of Maryland.

NC State offered Brown on July 19th, 2021, and he committed to run with the Wolfpack on March 22nd of this year. Brown also held offers from UNC, Clemson, Texas A&M, Penn St., LSU, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia Tech, FSU, Tennessee, Michigan, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi St., Pitt, Georgia Tech, Duke, Maryland, Michigan St., and others.
