Which Football Recruits will be at NC State’s Junior Day Tomorrow?

Tomorrow is Junior Day at NC State, making it a big day for recruiting for the Wolfpack. Every year, this Saturday is a day where the Wolfpack coaching staff prioritizes getting as many of their 2025 recruiting prospects on campus as possible, as well as younger prospects as well.

Here’s a look at who will be on campus tomorrow for an unofficial visit for Junior Day.

For starters, NC State’s 2 verbal commits, Quarterback Will Wilson (3-Stars) and Tight End Gus Ritchey (3-Stars) will be in attendance.

Below is a collection of prospects across three classes that I’ve been able to confirm will be in attendance.

4-Star 2025 Safety JaDon Blair

4-Star 2025 Safety Jadon Blair confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. ON3, 247Sports and Rivals rank Blair as a 4-Star prospect. All three rank him as a Top-300 player nationally. ON3 almost has him ranked as a 5-star prospect, sitting at #28 overall nationally. They also rank him as the #2 Safety in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

Blair holds offers from NC State, Penn St., Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Louisville, Notre Dame, FSU, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Duke, South Carolina, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, West Virginia and others.

4-Star 2025 Safety Jontae Gilbert

Consensus 4-Star 2025 Jontae Gilbert confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Gilbert is a consensus Top-70 player nationally out of the state of Georgia. 247Sports ranks Gilbert as the #40 overall player natinally in the 2025 class, and the #5 Safety in his class. Rivals ranks him as the #1 player in the state of Georgia in 2025.

3-Star 2025 Cornerback Cam Strong 

3-Star 2025 Cornerback Cam Strong confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Strong holds offers from NC State, Duke, West Virginia, Virginia Tech and others. Rivals ranks Strong as the #8 player in the state of North Carolina.

2025 Wide Receiver Jamien Little

2025 Wide Receiver Jamien Little confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Little holds offers from NC State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Duke, Liberty, ECU, Coastal Carolina and others.

3-star 2025 Offensive Lineman Michael Gibbs

Rivals ranks Gibbs as the #22 player in the state of North Carolina in 2025. NC State Offensive Line Coach Garrett Tujague visited Gibbs at his school in Wilmington (Hoggard High School) last Friday. The Wolfpack offered Gibbs on November 3rd.

Gibbs confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow.

3-Star 2025 Offensive Lineman Isaac Sowells Jr. 

3-Star 2025 Offensive Lineman Isaac Sowells Jr. will be at NC State tomorrow.

Sowells holds offers from NC State, West Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Penn St., Wake Forest, UVA, Virginia Tech, Miami, Duke, ECU and others. ON3, 247Sports and Rivals all rank Sowells as the #4 player in the state of Kentucky.

The NC State coaching staff was in to see Sowells yesterday.

2025 Wide Receiver Jeremiah Koger 

2025 Wide Receiver Jeremiah Koger will be at NC State tomorrow. He holds offers from NC State, Pitt, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Syracuse and others. Koger plays for St. Frances in Maryland.

3-Star 2025 Running Back Tre Leonard

3-Star 2025 Running Back Tre Leonard will be at NC State tomorrow.

Rivals ranks Leonard as the #8 player in the state of South Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class. Leonard holds offers from App St.

3- Star 2025 Wide Receiver Jerel Bolder

3-Star 2025 Wide Receiver Jerel Bolder confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Bolder plays for Forrest Hills in Marshville, and ON3 ranks him as the #8 player in the state of North Carolina in 2025. He holds offers from NC State, UNC, Michigan, Virginia, South Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Maryland, Louisville and others.

NC State’s Joker Phillips was in to see Bolder last week.

4-Star 2026 Athlete Kendre Harrison

4-Star 2026 Athlete Kendre Harrison will be at NC State tomorrow.

Harrison plays for Reidsville, and 247Sports ranks him as the #1 player in the state of North Carolina in 2026, and the #5 player nationally.

2026 Quarterback Jacob Smith

2026 Quarterback Jacob Smith, who is already a Wolfpack baseball commit, will be at NC State tomorrow.

Smith holds offers from NC State, UNC, Duke and East Carolina.

2026 Wide Receiver Gordon Sellars

I confirmed with 2026 Wide Receiver Gordon Sellars that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Sellars recently picked up an offer from NC State on January 12th. He also holds an offer from Virginia Tech.

2026 Wide Receiver Jaire Richburg

2026 Wide Receiver Jaire Richburg confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Richburg holds offers from NC State, Wake Forest, App St., Duke, Boston College, Louisville, Maryland, Penn St., and West Virginia.

2026 Quarterback Ely Hamrick 

2026 Quarterback Ely Hamrick will be at NC State tomorrow. He holds an offer from Kentucky.

2026 Wide Receiver Donovan Murph

2026 Wide Receiver Donovan Murph confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Murph holds offers from NC State, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Penn St. and others.

2026 Wide Receiver Brody Keefe 

2026 Wide Receiver Brody Keefe confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Keefe holds offers from NC State, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Ohio St., Tennessee, UNC, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Liberty, Auburn, Duke and others.

2026 4-Star Athlete Thomas Davis Jr. 

2026 4-Star Athlete Thomas Davis Jr. confirmed with me that he will be at NC State tomorrow. Davis holds offers from NC State, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Miami, Virginia Tech, UNC, Auburn, Tennessee, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Penn St. and others. Both 247Sports and Rival rank Davis as a 4-star prospect, with Rivals ranking him as the #47 overall prospect nationally in the 2026 class. 247Sports ranks him as the #7 player in the state of North Carolina in 2026.

2027 QB Mason Holtzclaw

2027 Quarterback Mason Holtzclaw will be at NC State tomorrow. He holds offers from Kentucky, East Carolina, Toledo and New Mexico State.

3-Star DT Drayden Pavey is Taking an Official Visit to NC State

3-Star 2025 Defensive Tackle Drayden Pavey (6’3″/305) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on June 18th. He also has Official Visit’s scheduled for Purdue, Wisconsin and Arizona.

ON3 ranks Pavey as the #4 player in the state of Kentucky (Robert A. Taft High/Burlington, KY)

NC State has already made quite the impression. They only offered him on April 24th. Getting an Official Visit scheduled a week after offering a player is a good sign.

When Pavey released his Top-8 back in February, NC State was obviously on the list. It consisted of Miami (OH), Toledo, Boston College, West Virginia, Pitt, Cincinnati, Indiana and Purdue. Wisconsin is also new to the scene, offering Pavey on April 21st.

As a Junior, Pavey had 46 tackles 7.5 sacks and 9 tackles for loss.

4-Star Safety Jordan Young Includes NC State in Top-8

4-Star 2025 Safety Jordan Young (6’0″/170) revealed his Top-8 schools today, and NC State made the cut along with Alabama, FSU, UNC, Clemson, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

It’s not shocking that Young included the Wolfpack, because back on April 15th he shared that he had locked in an Official Visit to NC State for June 19-21. He also has Official Visits scheduled to Clemson (May 31), FSU (June 14), and Tennessee (June 21).

All 4 recruiting databases rank Young as a Top-200 prospect nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, with ESPN, 247Sports and ON3 ranking him in the Top-35. 247Sports ranks him as the #29 overall player nationally, the #2 Safety and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

This past season, Young had 66 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries, 1 interception and 3 pass breakups for Monroe High School. On the offensive side of the ball, he had 34 receptions for 812 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Young is planning to announce his commitment on October 12th.

4-Star Safety Jontae Gilbert Has Locked in an Official Visit to NC State

4-Star 2025 Safety Jontae Gilbert (6’1″/180) confirmed with me that he has locked in an Official Visit to NC State for the weekend of September 27-29, and he plans for it to be his last Official Visit.

Back in July of 2022, Gilbert committed to Ohio St., but last July he decommitted from the Buckeyes.

Gilbert also has Official Visits scheduled for UCF, South Carolina and USC.

At one point, Gilbert was a 5-star prospect, but now he is a consensus 4-star prospect, and a consensus Top-275 player. Rivals ranks him as the #70 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #8 player in the state of Georgia.

NC State offered Gilbert in April of last year.

Recently, he has taken unofficial visits to, or been visited by Louisville, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia St., Oregon, Clemson, Texas and South Carolina.

While he doesn’t have an Official Visit set up with Georgia, the Bulldogs are obviously a big player in Gilbert’s recruitment.

Gilbert plays for Douglass High School in Atlanta, Georgia.

3-Star LB Cameron White Has NC State Official Visit Set

3-Star 2025 Linebacker Cameron White (6’1″/225) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on June 19-21, according to a source.

NC State offered White back on March 1st.

While White hasn’t officially released a Top-8, he did say that the 8 schools that are standing out are NC State, Louisville, Tennessee, West Virginia, UCF, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and Utah.

This Spring, he has taken unofficial visits to Tennessee, UCF, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Louisville, Miami. He’s expected to take an Official Visit to Louisville as well.

Rivals ranks White as the #37 Outside Linebacker nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #79 player in the state of Florida.

This past year, White had 81 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 5 sacks for Sumner (Riverview, FL).
