This past Saturday, 4-Star 2026 Athlete Thomas Davis Jr. (6’2″/195) attended NC State’s Junior Day.
NC State offered Davis Jr. back on June 23rd last Summer. He also holds offers from Wake Forest, South Carolina, Miami, Virginia Tech, UNC, Auburn, Tennessee, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Penn St. and others.
I caught up with Davis Jr. to get his take on his time at NC State this past Saturday.
Can you describe what the format of the day was? What did you do?
We got to learn about how NC State runs the program and develops their players.
Were you able to have any conversations with the coaching staff? If so, how did that go? What’s their recruiting pitch to you? What’s your relationship like with them?
I was able to speak to Coach Doeren, Coach Gibson and Coach Joker, and I definitely built a relationship with all three.
What was your favorite part of the experience?
I loved sitting in the film room going through the defense with Coach Gibson, and I love the way he coaches the defense and the schemes he uses. Overall, I definitely loved the experience at NC State and I had a great time.
