This past Saturday 3-Star 2025 Running Back Tre Leonard (5’11″/175) was at NC State for their Junior Day. I caught up with him to get his take on the experience.

Can you describe what the format of the day was? What did you do?

My day was a little different, as Coach Todd Goebbel pulled me and my father to his office for roughly 45 minutes to have a 1-on-1 meeting once we arrived. It was great. He was honest and talked about personal stuff, football and my future.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

My best part about the whole experience was being able to have that 1-on-1 time with Coach Todd. This was my first time touring the campus and it was everything I thought it would be.

Where does NC State currently stand in your recruitment? What schools are currently ranking the highest for you?

I don’t really have an order for where schools rank, but NC State is a place that I would consider going for sure.

________

Rivals ranks Leonard, who plays for West Florence (Florence, SC) as the #8 player in the state of South Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class.

Leonard doesn’t currently hold an offer from NC State, but does hold offers from App St., Boston College, Arkansas, Coastal Carolina, UCONN, East Carolina and others.
