PI EXCLUSIVE: 3-Star WR Gabe Daniels Breaks Down Visit to NC State

Published

on

3-Star 2025 Wide Receiver Gabe Daniels (6’2″/180) took an unofficial visit to NC State on Thursday. I caught up with Daniels to get his take on the visit.

When did NC State start recruiting you and what coach is primarily recruiting you?

NC State started recruiting me after I got the offer last May. Coach Phillips is the main one recruiting me.

What was your visit like? What did you learn? What did you enjoy?

My visit went really well. I learned a lot about the program. I wasn’t too familiar with the area either, so it was great to see. I really enjoyed visiting the campus and seeing all the facilities.

If you got to watch practice, what were your thoughts on how the Wolfpack looked? Did any players standout?

I watched practice, and it was great. The offense has a lot of good pieces and they have a lot of talent in the receiver room. CJ (Bailey) really stood out. He was making throws all over the field. KC (Kevin Concepcion), Juju (Julian Gray) and Dacari (Collins) stood out too. I can’t wait to watch them play this year.

What were the conversations like with the coaches?

The conversations with the coaches were great. We didn’t talk much football. We really just got to know each other on a deeper level, which is really important to me and my family.

Where does NC State stand in your recruitment? Which schools are recruiting you the hardest?

NC State definitely stands out as one of my top schools. Kansas, Wake Forest, and Liberty are probably the other schools recruiting me the hardest.

_______

Daniels currently is an unranked recruit, but he does hold offers from NC State, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Kansas, Western Michigan, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, App St., Syracuse and others.

Daniels had 31 receptions, 700 all purpose yards and 5 touchdowns for the Greater Atlanta Christian School (Norcross, GA) last season.
