With an ACC Title in Hand, Kevin Keatts Earns a 2-Year Extension & Raise

From the hot seat to a contract extension.

After leading NC State to their first ACC Championship in 27 years last night, Wolfpack Head Coach Kevin Keatts triggered a 2-year extension to his contract (2030).

As far as I can tell, Keatts’ salary this year is $2.7 million, and as a result of last night’s magical win, his salary will be $3.4 million next year.

On the day he was hired, Keatts famously said “Kevin Keatts is a Winner.”

After the game, he jokingly referred to that comment from long ago.

“I made a strong promise when I got here. I made the mistake of saying Kevin Keatts is a winner. I’m a winner today.”
