#22 NC State Crushes Notre Dame 10-0 in Series Opener
#22 NC State (16-7/6-4) continued their hot streak last night, defeating Notre Dame (14-1/2-8) 10-0 in 8 innings.
Senior Pitcher Sam Highfill pitched the best game of his collegiate career, pitching 8 scoreless innings, striking out a career high 10 batters. He didn’t walk a single batter, and gave up only 3 hits.

Senior 1st Baseman Garrett Pennington, Senior 3rd Baseman Alec Makarewicz and Sophomore Left Fielder Josh Hogue each had 2 hits apiece.
Hogue had a team high 3 runs, and Junior Shortstop Brandon Butterworth 3 RBI’s on a Double, which led the team.
