NC State Football Recruiting Visitor List for Spring Game

The NC State Football Spring Game will be played in Carter-Finley Stadium at 2pm today, and the game will also be broadcast on ACC Network.

Here’s a rundown of some of the Wolfpack recruiting prospects that will be in attendance.

Shamarius Peterkin

4-Star 2025 Wide Receiver Shamarius Peterkin (6’2″/175) will be in attendance today. He has already scheduled an Official Visit to NC State for June 21st.

Peterkin holds offers from NC State, Virginia Tech, FSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Penn St., UNC, James Madison and South Carolina.

247Sports ranks Peterkin as the #197 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #6 player in the state of North Carolina.

As a Junior this past season, Peterkin had 42 receptions for 824 yards and 12 touchdowns for Mt. Tabor.

Toby Mealer

3-Star 2025 Offensive Lineman Toby Mealer (6’5″/340) confirmed with me that he will be at the Spring Game today. Mealer verbally committed to Arizona St. on November 22nd, and decommitted on march 17th. The Wolfpack followed up with an offer on April 2nd.

Mealer also holds offers from Arizona St., Arizona, UNLV and UMASS.

Rivals ranks Mealer as the #26 overall Interior Offensive Lineman in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #4 player in the state of Arizona.

Michael Gibbs

3-Star 2025 Offensive Lineman Michael Gibbs (6’3.5″/280) confirmed with me that he will be at the game today.

Gibbs has already scheduled an Official Visit to NC State for June 21st.

Rivals ranks Gibbs as the #24 overall player in the state of North Carolina (Hoggard/Wilmington) in the 2025 recruiting class.

Gibbs holds offers from NC State, Duke, Virginia Tech, Penn St., ECU, Coastal Carolina, App St., UVA, Liberty and Charlotte.

Shawn Lee Jr. 

3-Star 2025 Athlete Shawn Lee Jr. (5’10″/170) confirmed with me that he will be at the Spring Game.

NC State offered Lee Jr. back on November 4th. He also holds offers from Kent St., Iowa St., UCONN, ODU and Akron.

Lee Jr. plays both sides of the ball for Harrisburg (Harrisburg, PA). This past season as a Junior, he completed 67% of his passes for 2,256 yards and 26 touchdowns (5 interceptions) as a Quarterback.  He also rushed the ball for 1,451 yards (8.9 yards per carry) and 19 touchdowns. On the defensive side, as a Cornerback he had 47 tackles, 4 interceptions and 7 pass breakups.

Ja’Torian Mack

3-Star 2025 Safety Ja’Torian Mack (6’0″/180) confirmed with me that he will be in Raleigh today.

Mack holds offers from NC State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Iowa St., Coastal Carolina, West Virginia, UCONN and others.

Mack plays for Edgewater in Orlando, Florida.

Shed Sarratt 

3-Star 2025 Offensive Tackle Shed Sarratt (6’3.5″/290) confirmed with me that he will be at the Spring Game today.

Sarratt plays for Gaffney (Gaffney, SC), and he holds offers from NC State, South Carolina, Tennessee, FSU, Florida, App St., UVA, Cincy, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Tech and others.

247Sports ranks Sarratt as the #8 overall player in the state of South Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class.

Tristan Teasdell

2025 Safety Tristan Teasdell (6’1″/180) will be in attendance today.

Teasdell isn’t ranked by the national databases, but he does hold offers from NC State, UCF, Minnesota, Duke, Pitt, ECU, Kansas, Boise St. and others.

Corbyn Fordham

4-Star 2026 Tight End Corbyn Fordham (6’4″/205), the brother of NC State Linebacker Caden Fordham, will be at the game.

Fordham holds offers from NC State, South Carolina, Auburn, Pitt, Georgia, Louisville, Alabama, Tennessee, Maryland, Ohio St., LSU, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Missouri, Wisconsin and others.

This past season, he had 37 receptions for 324 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Jayvon Gilmore

3-Star 2026 Quarterback jayvon Gilmore (6’6″/190) will be in attendance.

ON3 ranks Gilmore as the #5 overall player in the state of South Carolina (Gaffney HS) in the 2026 recruiting class.

Gilmore holds offers from the Wolfpack and Virginia Tech, UCF, Troy and Miami (OH).

This past season, Gilmore threw for 1,767 yards (52.2%) for 22 touchdowns (7 Interceptions).

 

Brody Smith

2026 3-Star Offensive Tackle Brody Smith (6’6″/255) confirmed with me that he will be in attendance.

Rivals ranks Smith as the #44 Offensive Tackle in the 2026 recruiting class, and the #12 player in the state of Tennessee.

Smith holds offers from NC State, Tennessee, Penn St., Georgia Tech, Purdue, Colorado, Miami, West Virginia, Miami, Ole Miss, Indiana, Liberty and South Carolina.

Jacob Smith

2026 Quarterback Jacob Smith (6’3″/200) confirmed with me that he will be at the Red/White Game. Smith is already a verbal commit to NC State in Baseball.

Smith holds offers in Football from NC State, Duke, Charlotte, UNC, and ECU.

Noah Clark

4-Star 2026 Defensive Tackle Noah Clark (6’3″/290) confirmed with me that he will be in attendance.

Rivals ranks him as the #223 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, and the #16 Defensive Lineman.

He holds offers from NC State, Duke, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Penn St., Miami, Indiana and Tennessee. ON3 ranks him as the #17 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the 2026 recruiting class.

This pasts season as a Sophomore at Jordan (Durham, NC), Clark had 57 tackles and 9 tackles for loss.

3-Star DT Drayden Pavey is Taking an Official Visit to NC State

3-Star 2025 Defensive Tackle Drayden Pavey (6’3″/305) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on June 18th. He also has Official Visit’s scheduled for Purdue, Wisconsin and Arizona.

ON3 ranks Pavey as the #4 player in the state of Kentucky (Robert A. Taft High/Burlington, KY)

NC State has already made quite the impression. They only offered him on April 24th. Getting an Official Visit scheduled a week after offering a player is a good sign.

When Pavey released his Top-8 back in February, NC State was obviously on the list. It consisted of Miami (OH), Toledo, Boston College, West Virginia, Pitt, Cincinnati, Indiana and Purdue. Wisconsin is also new to the scene, offering Pavey on April 21st.

As a Junior, Pavey had 46 tackles 7.5 sacks and 9 tackles for loss.

4-Star Safety Jordan Young Includes NC State in Top-8

4-Star 2025 Safety Jordan Young (6’0″/170) revealed his Top-8 schools today, and NC State made the cut along with Alabama, FSU, UNC, Clemson, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

It’s not shocking that Young included the Wolfpack, because back on April 15th he shared that he had locked in an Official Visit to NC State for June 19-21. He also has Official Visits scheduled to Clemson (May 31), FSU (June 14), and Tennessee (June 21).

All 4 recruiting databases rank Young as a Top-200 prospect nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, with ESPN, 247Sports and ON3 ranking him in the Top-35. 247Sports ranks him as the #29 overall player nationally, the #2 Safety and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

This past season, Young had 66 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries, 1 interception and 3 pass breakups for Monroe High School. On the offensive side of the ball, he had 34 receptions for 812 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Young is planning to announce his commitment on October 12th.

4-Star Safety Jontae Gilbert Has Locked in an Official Visit to NC State

4-Star 2025 Safety Jontae Gilbert (6’1″/180) confirmed with me that he has locked in an Official Visit to NC State for the weekend of September 27-29, and he plans for it to be his last Official Visit.

Back in July of 2022, Gilbert committed to Ohio St., but last July he decommitted from the Buckeyes.

Gilbert also has Official Visits scheduled for UCF, South Carolina and USC.

At one point, Gilbert was a 5-star prospect, but now he is a consensus 4-star prospect, and a consensus Top-275 player. Rivals ranks him as the #70 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #8 player in the state of Georgia.

NC State offered Gilbert in April of last year.

Recently, he has taken unofficial visits to, or been visited by Louisville, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia St., Oregon, Clemson, Texas and South Carolina.

While he doesn’t have an Official Visit set up with Georgia, the Bulldogs are obviously a big player in Gilbert’s recruitment.

Gilbert plays for Douglass High School in Atlanta, Georgia.

3-Star LB Cameron White Has NC State Official Visit Set

3-Star 2025 Linebacker Cameron White (6’1″/225) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on June 19-21, according to a source.

NC State offered White back on March 1st.

While White hasn’t officially released a Top-8, he did say that the 8 schools that are standing out are NC State, Louisville, Tennessee, West Virginia, UCF, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and Utah.

This Spring, he has taken unofficial visits to Tennessee, UCF, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Louisville, Miami. He’s expected to take an Official Visit to Louisville as well.

Rivals ranks White as the #37 Outside Linebacker nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #79 player in the state of Florida.

This past year, White had 81 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 5 sacks for Sumner (Riverview, FL).
