NC State Linebacker Wyatt Wright is Entering the Transfer Portal
NC State Junior Linebacker Wyatt Wright is entering the Transfer Portal.
NC State linebacker Wyatt Wright is entering the transfer portal, his agency @3strandsports tells @CBSSports/@247Sports.
Wright, who is repped by @monnier_oscar and @nick__wisinski, was one of the top-ranked JUCO linebacker prospects in the 2024 class.https://t.co/Pwn4jvEpX3 pic.twitter.com/SlOOk5ImjB

Wright played his first two seasons in the Junior College ranks at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. In 2023, he led MGCCC in tackles with 82 tackles in 10 games. He also had 4 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass breakup. In his Freshman season, Wright played for Fresno City College, and had 14 tackles in 7 games.
Last year he chose NC State over offers from UCF, Memphis, Houston, Arizona St. and others.
ON3 ranked Wright as the #29 overall JUCO player in the 2024 class, and the #2 Linebacker.
I can completely understand Wright wanting to find a place where he will get to play. He only saw action in 1 game, playing on Special Teams against Stanford.
Since Wright only played in 1 game this season, this year will count as a Redshirt Season, giving him 2 more years of eligibility.
Four NC State players have now entered the Transfer Portal this season:
LB Wyatt Wright
LB Jayland Parker
WR KC Concepcion
DE Red Hibbler
