on

NC State has had some serious football talent come through Raleigh recently. Here’s a look at which recruits have been by this week.

Antonio Barber/2020/WR

3-Star 2020 Wide Receiver Antonio Barber is visiting NC State today.

Barber (6’2″/185) is still technically a Tennessee commit, but after his visit today, he will have made the trip to Raleigh three times in the past 30 days. He recently visited Penn State as well. Barber played with NC State 2019 commit Jalen Frazier at Hough in Cornelius, North Carolina. Rivals ranks Barber as the #5 player in the state of North Carolina.

All things are pointing towards Barber eventually running with the Wolfpack.

Evan Pryor/2021/RB

Barber’s teammate at Hough, 4-Star 2021 Running Back Evan Pryor (5’11″/175) is also visiting today.

NC State offered Pryor on January 10th, and he took an unofficial visit on January 19th. He has also recently unofficially visited UNC, Penn State, Virginia Tech, and Georgia. Alabama recently offered.

247Sports ranks Pryor as the #67 overall player in the 2021 class, the #6 Running Back, and the #3 player in the state of North Carolina.

Pryor rushed for 912 yards (6.2 yards per carry) and 10 touchdowns for Hough this year. He also had 24 receptions for 277 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Seth Williams/2020/C

3-Star 2020 Center Seth Williams (6’3″/315) is also visiting NC State today.

Williams plays for Statesville High School (Statesville, NC). He holds offers from Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, Navy, and Marshall. He recently visited App St., and is visiting Wake Forest tomorrow.

Williams visited Raleigh back on Junior Day as well.

Jayland Parker/2020/LB

2020 3-Star Linebacker Jayland Parker (6’2″/214) was in for a visit yesterday.

NC State offered Parker back on March 1st when he was on an unofficial visit. He has also recently visited Florida State, Georgia Tech and Tennessee.

Parker also holds offers from Wake Forest, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Purdue, Rutgers, Pitt, Mississippi State, Kansas, Louisville, Duke and others.

Rivals lists Parker as a Safety, and 247Sports lists him as an Inside Linebacker.

Parker had 58 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 2 interceptions for Westside (Macon, GA) last year.

Jake Rubley/2021/QB

4-Star 2021 Quarterback Jake Rubley (6’3″/195) was in for a visit yesterday, and picked up an offer from the Wolfpack while he was here.

NC State has already made quite the impression. They only offered him on April 24th. Getting an Official Visit scheduled a week after offering a player is a good sign.

When Pavey released his Top-8 back in February, NC State was obviously on the list. It consisted of Miami (OH), Toledo, Boston College, West Virginia, Pitt, Cincinnati, Indiana and Purdue. Wisconsin is also new to the scene, offering Pavey on April 21st.

4-Star 2025 Safety Jontae Gilbert (6’1″/180) confirmed with me that he has locked in an Official Visit to NC State for the weekend of September 27-29, and he plans for it to be his last Official Visit.

Back in July of 2022, Gilbert committed to Ohio St., but last July he decommitted from the Buckeyes.
