Will NC State Land Another 4-Star WR on Saturday?

Published

on

This past weekend, NC State added Top-100 4-Star Wide Receiver Jonathan Paylor to their 2024 recruiting class.

This Saturday, Top-100 4-Star Wide Receiver Terrell Anderson (6’3″/184) will be announcing his college decision at 4pm. He is choosing between a Final 3 of NC State, Tennessee and Michigan. He took Official Visits to both NC State and Tennessee in June.

Anderson is only rated as a 4-Star by ON3, but it’s worth noting just how high ON3 is on Anderson. They rank him as the #82 overall player nationally in the 2024 recruiting class, which is ranked higher than Paylor, who is ranked #258 (ESPN ranks Paylor 90th overall). ON3 also ranks Anderson as the #12 Wide Receiver nationally, and the #2 prospect in the state of North Carolina.

In 2022, Anderson had 64 receptions for 1,254 yards and 11 touchdowns for Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Things are pointing towards NC State with a few days remaining. Yesterday, 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn cast his Crystal Ball prediction for NC State. 84 of his 85 predictions for the 2024 recruiting class have been correct thus far. Also, Paylor is actively trying to get Anderson to join the 2024 Wolfpack recruiting class with him.

Keep in mind, NC State has only reeled in 9 Top-100 prospects in the Dave Doeren era, with Paylor being one of them. This would be huge.

If the Wolfpack lands Anderson on Saturday, they will arguably have snagged the Top 2 Wide Receivers in the state of North Carolina in the 2024 recruiting class.
