Maryland Transfer Cornerback Corey Coley Jr. (6’2″/180) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State this weekend according to a source.

Coley Jr. played in 11 games for Maryland this year, starting in 2, finishing with 9 tackles and 2 pass breakups. His PFF grade was 61.3 (305 snaps). In 2022, he played in 11 games, starting in 1, finishing with 14 tackles (291 snaps). Coley Jr. played in 11 games as a True Freshman in 2021, starting in 3, finishing with 14 tackles and 1 pass breakup (230 snaps).

Coley Jr. was a 3-Star prospect in the Terrapins’ 2021 recruiting class. NC State has recruited him in the past, offering him a scholarship back in high school.

With Coley Jr. taking an Official Visit this weekend, he will be joining another Maryland Defensive Back Transfer in Tamarcus Cooley.

Coley Jr. has 2 years to play his final year of eligibility. If you look at Coley Jr.’s snap count totals above, he will bring a good amount of experience to whatever team he commits to, despite the fact he hasn’t been a regular starter.

He will begin his Official Visit on Friday.
