This past weekend, Cooley took an Official Visit to NC State, with another Maryland Defensive Back, Corey Coley Jr., who committed to run with the Wolfpack yesterday.

Cooley played in 4 games for Maryland as a True Freshman this year, seeing defensive snaps in 3 of those (23 snaps), finishing with 4 tackles. He has missed the past three games due to injury. Cooley will be a Redshirt Freshman at NC State next year.

Originally, Cooley was a part of NC State’s 2023 recruiting class, verbally committing on July 4, 2022. Ultimately, Cooley would flip his commitment to Maryland on signing day last year, on December 21st.

Rivals ranked Cooley as the #19 player in the state of North Carolina in the 2023 recruiting class.
