Published

on

2025 3-Star Wide Receiver Jerel Bolder (5’11″/187) attended NC State’s Junior Day last Saturday. I caught up with Bolder to get his take on the experience.

Can you describe what the format of the day was? What did you do?

We went to meetings and the staff broke everything down to us.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

Favorite part was the food 😂

Were you able to have any conversations with the coaching staff? If so, how did that go? What’s their recruiting pitch to you? What’s your relationship like with them? With Coach Joker?

Yes, I got to talk to Coach Doeren one on one. It went great I asked questions and he gave me quality answers. My relationship with Coach Joker is great. Talking to him, it’s like a flow and a balance between friend and a coach.

Where does NC State currently stand in your recruitment? What schools are currently ranking the highest for you?

NC State stands high in my recruitment. Some other schools are UNC, Duke, and Michigan.

Bolder plays for Forrest Hills in Marshville, and ON3 ranks him as the #9 player in the state of North Carolina in 2025.

NC State was in early with Bolder, offering him a scholarship on June 5, 2022. He also holds offers from UNC, Michigan, Virginia, South Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Maryland, Louisville and others.
