PI EXCLUSIVE: 2026 WR Brody Keefe Breaks Down NC State Junior Day Experience

Published

on

On January 20th, 2026 Wide Receiver Brody Keefe attended NC State’s Junior Day. I caught up with him to get his take on the experience.

Can you describe what the format of the day was? What did you do?

I was in Raleigh for Tom Lemmings media day so I went over to NC State first. Coach Joker met us and took us to grab pics and then Coach Sanders drove us around all of campus. I didn’t realize how big the campus was. We met with Coach Doeren and then went over to Mr. Lemmings photo shoot. Then lunch at NC State and had a few presentations from the player development team, strength coaches and some one-on-one with position coaches.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

My favorite part is always catching up with the coaches.

Were you able to have any conversations with the coaching staff? If so, how did that go? What’s their recruiting pitch to you? What’s your relationship like with them?

We have a great relationship and it’s good to hear about what they are doing in the program and how they think I can fit. Conversations are usually around what they think I can bring, where I would fit in their future and of course how important it is to be close to home. I feel like I have a really strong relationship with Coach Joker and Coach Doeren. Like I could call them up any time to talk through recruiting or even just football.

Where does NC State currently stand in your recruitment? What schools are currently ranking the highest for you?

Top schools, that’s tough. So many great opportunities have come my way. I’m really just blessed. If I had to pick a top 4-5 right now it would include NC State, Tennessee, OSU, South Carolina and Georgia. But those are the places I’ve spent the most time too. This Spring/Summer I really want to focus on building relationships with the programs I can really see myself fitting in and playing. I have a few opportunities coming up that could shift that top 5. Just enjoying the process right now.
