PI EXCLUSIVE: 2026 WR Jaire Richburg Breaks Down NC State Junior Day Experience

Published

on

2026 Wide Receiver Jaire Richburg (6’3″/180) attended NC State’s Junior Day on January 20th. I caught up with him to get his take on the experience

Can you describe what the format of the day was? What did you do?

We had an underclassmen day where 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruits were all welcomed to come and see what the NC State football program was all about.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

My favorite part of the experience was getting to dress in the uniforms and taking pictures.

Were you able to have any conversations with the coaching staff? If so, how did that go? What’s their recruiting pitch to you? What’s your relationship like with them?

Yes, I talked to Coach Doeren, Coach Joker, and some recruiting assistants, which went really well. They all like my size and the potential that I have and are excited to see what the future holds for me. Coach Doeren is a guy who likes to hear the opinions of others and is willing to listen, which I love in a Coach.

What’s your relationship like with Coach Joker?

Coach Joker and I get along pretty well. He just wants to get straight down to business and worry about other things later. He is supposedly coming down to see me play a basketball game against Mt. Tabor in a week or so, a rival school who also has highly talented guys who NC State is going for.

Where does NC State currently stand in your recruitment? What schools are currently ranking the highest for you?

I am really interested in NC State and they are very high currently on my recruitment list. App State, Duke, Wake Forest, and Penn State are some other early favorites on my list so far.

_____

NC State offered Richburg on November 14th. He also holds offers from Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Wake Forest, App St., Duke, Boston College, Louisville, Maryland, Penn St., and others.

Richburg plays for East Forsyth in Kernersville, North Carolina.

Matthew is Publisher and Co-Owner of Pack Insider. He is also the Lead Pastor of The Point Church in Cary, NC.

Isaiah Campbell just committed to Clemson. Take right out from under our nose. Whose to blame (NIL)?
