PI EXCLUSIVE: 3-Star O-Lineman Tai Buster Breaks Down NC State Visit

Published

on

3-Star 2025 Offensive Lineman Tai Buster (6’5″/285) took an unofficial visit to NC State on Tuesday. I caught up with Buster to get his take on the visit.

1) When did NC State start recruiting you and what coach is primarily recruiting you?

Apparently Coach 2J said they’ve always had an eye on me.

2) What was your visit like? What did you enjoy?

I enjoyed my visit. I had a tour of the place. I liked the vibes it gave off.

3) If you got to watch practice, what were your thoughts on how the Wolfpack looked? Did any players standout?

No players really stood out. I just liked that the players could interact with each other, but still get stuff done.

4) What were the conversations like with the coaches?

The conversations were casual, just asking how I liked it.

5) Where does NC State stand in your recruitment? Which schools are recruiting you the hardest?

Well, I really like NC State, and if they were to offer, they would be a top school, but Rutgers, Auburn and Florida are recruiting me the hardest.

_______

Currently, Buster doesn’t hold an offer from NC State, but he does hold offers from App St., Wake Forest, Auburn, Florida, Penn St., Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Duke, Liberty, Boston College, West Virginia, and others.

Buster plays for A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Rivals ranks him as the #11 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class.

Matthew is Publisher and Co-Owner of Pack Insider. He is also the Lead Pastor of The Point Church in Cary, NC.
