Martin Twins Make It Official, Waiting on Abu

NC State basketball picks up 2, waiting on Abu after first day of signing period.

The Martin twins signed their LOI yesterday to officially become part of NC State’s 2014-2015 recruiting class. Yesterday was the first day players could sign and these guys didn’t waste any time. Caleb is the scorer. He’ll come in and immediately become one of the best shooters on the team (if not the best). He can take it off the dribble or drain it from long range. Caleb on the other hand is more of a do-it-all inside guy. He’s going to rebound, score in the midrange and be that all over the court hustle guy. Both will fit into the mix nicely.  Both guys will come in next season and give the Wolfpack some much needed depth.

The only other commit that State is waiting on is Abdul-Malik Abu. The 6’8 bouncy forward is a huge pull for Gottfried and will give him that inside scoring presence they are currently lacking. As far as we know and have been told, Abu either hasn’t signed yet, or just hasn’t faxed it over. I’m guessing the lack of info coming our way means that he hasn’t signed, but I don’t think there is much to worry about. I’d be surprised if he wasn’t official by the end of the day today.
