NC State Looking at 2014 SG Rashard Figures

Rashard Figures is a very talented 2014 SG out of New Jersey and NC State is starting to look pretty closely at him.

2014 SG Rashard Figures @Top_One_Shard tells me that NC State, Kansas State, and Kansas have started to recruit him.

With Dez Lee being a junior and no other true 2 guard options waiting in the wing, State is going to have to pick one up soon. Figures isn’t really highly recruited right now, but he is picking up a lot of late interest. Right now Rivals has him as a 3 star prospect, but that’s not scaring away top programs. Aside from NC State, Kansas and K-State have also jumped in on him. There doesn’t seem to be an offer on the table yet from the Pack, but I’m sure they’ll be watching his season closely.

Figures game is still not a finished product. He is a very good shooter, but can be streaky. He’s got a quick release and is crafty in his ability to get open, however sometimes he relies too much on him jumper. He’s not super quick, but he’s got a good frame and knows how to use it. He’s not a supreme athlete, but again, he doesn’t need to be if he knows how to use his body, is good in traffic, and can knock down contested jumpers.

There is a long way to go in this recruitment, but we just wanted to put it out there and let you know State is checking in here.
