NBA Development League Stats Update: Checking-in on some of your favorite former Wolfpack players as they push for a chance in the NBA. All statistics provided by the NBADL website (as of Jan 11).

Lorenzo BrownDelaware 87ers

Brown stayed in the D-League for five games. After being designated for assignment by the Philadelphia 76ers in mid-December, he used his D-League stint to display his pass-first style, but also unveil a new scoring touch—averaging 18.2 points over his five-game stint. He was recalled to the Sixers on Jan. 4 but was sent back down on Jan. 9. Keep an eye out for an article about his journey so far in the coming weeks.

Richard HowellIdaho Stampede

Since we last checked in with him, Howell’s production has cooled down slightly—he went from averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds in his first nine games to 18 and 11 for his season average. That isn’t his fault, though. Howell’s teammate, Pierre Jackson, is leading the league with 30 points a game, and Blazer’s top-pick C.J. McCollum is recovering from an ankle injury. If Jackson is traded like some rumors suggest and McCollum is recalled, his production may improve again.

Brandon CostnerLos Angeles D-Fenders

Costner has hit a bit of a snag this season. His point production, field-goal percentage and three-point shooting percentage are down from last season. That said, he’s started eight of 12 games for the D-Fenders. He also made a splash during the NBA Development League Showcase, coming off the bench to score 24 points and pulldown seven rebounds on a Jan. 6 matchup with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

C.J. LeslieErie BayHawks

The 2012 ACC Preseason Player of the Year has played sporadically in his 15 games with the BayHawks. Though he has averaged 13.1 points and 5.7 rebounds for the 3-12 BayHawks, he still needs to find consistency. With the BayHawks Jeremy Tyler signing a contract with the Knicks on Dec. 31, Leslie has the chance to take on more of the scoring load.
