VIDEO: ’16 NC State Recruit Dennis Smith is Elite

NC State head coach Mark Gottfried made sure that Dennis Smith knew how badly the Wolfpack wanted him. The State staff offered the 2016 elite point guard in early January, making them the first ACC school to do so. He has offers from VCU and Charlotte, but the Wolfpack is the first big time program to offer Smith (who is out of Trinity Christian in Fayetteville, NC).

This decision is still a long way off (and a lot of other big name schools are about to get involved), but after watching a few videos of this kid, there is no doubt that he is an absolute star in the making. At 6’2 he’s a long, tall and super quick athlete with great handle and a progressing jumper. The best way to describe him is wirey, long, slippery and bouncy. He’s very hard to guard and would be a matchup nightmare if he hones in his shot. Don’t believe me? Take a look at this video from BallisLife.com.
