State Runs Out of Gas Against Duke, Falls 75-67

NC State and TJ Warren (21 pts, 8 boards) just didn’t have enough left in the tank to outlast the Devils as they fell 75-67.

State shot a blistering 65% in the first half, but Duke’s 50% from 3pt range kept them in the lead. In the second half the Wolfpack simply had nothing left after playing 3 straight days in Greensboro.

While State was good, Duke was great. Jabari Parker hit every big shot he took, finishing with 20pts and 8 boards. Cook, Sulaimon and Hood also were all in double figures and were the same group that dominated the Pack in game one.

For State there was much improvement over that first game. They shot nearly 50% over a very good defensive team. They also only turned the ball over 7 times, which is 14 times less than they did at Cameron Indoor.

In the end however, Duke was just too strong and the Pack was just too tired to put on one final run. They will now have to wait for selection sunday to see if they live to play another day.
