Wolfpack Weekend Update

Published

on

There actually was quite a bit going on this weekend in the world of Wolfpack athletics. Let’s get you caught up…

1) Devonte Graham (the best PG still available for this coming season) just finished his visit with Kansas and will be starting his visit with the Wolfpack today.

As we’ve stated earlier, Graham is a hometown kid who attended Broughton before prepping at Brewster. Right now the Wolfpack’s chances look real good. Graham and his family are very close with Gottfried and know that there is a lot of PT to be had if he chooses State. Others in the mix are Kansas and UVA. Kansas is likely very enticing, however they are stocked full of PGs. Virginia on the other hand does have some playing time to hand out, however I think State is in really good shape with this kid. We’ll keep you updated on how his visit went. 2) The 3 on 3 legends game happened this past weekend with Julius Hodge, Chris Corchiani and Rodney Monroe (coached by Vinny Del Negro) representing the Pack. They took on greats such as Christian Laettner, Chris Carrawell, George Lynch and more. Of course, the Wolfpack legends walked away with the trophy! (State also won the skills competitions and narrowly were defeated in the 3pt shootout)

3) 2016 big man Thon Maker received a Wolfpack offer not too long ago. Now it’s being reported that he might reclassify to 2015. He’s also still listing NC State along with some top tier schools. Check out his video in the link above.

4.) StateFansNation has a pretty good recap of NC State baseball this weekend. They just lost another series, this time to Boston College. With the season winding down this talented group better wake up or they’ll find themselves on the outside looking in come postseason time (which would be a travesty with the type of talent they’re running out there!)
