Pack Smashed by Clemson 41-0. Let’s Move on.

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State fell behind early and was unable to recover, as the Wolfpack lost at Clemson in its first ACC road contest of 2014, 41-0.

NOTABLES
• Senior Wil Baumann had a busy day with nine punts. Now with 231 career punts, Baumann set a new career mark for the most punts in NC State history. Last week, he set the career mark in punting yardage.

• For the first time this season, NC State lost the turnover battle. The Pack lost three fumbles on the day, while the Pack was unable to force a turnover for the first time this season. Clemson converted two of those fumbles into 14 points.

• Today was the first time the Pack was shutout since a 34-0 defeat at Florida State in 2011. NC State was shutout in the first half for the first time since last year’s contest at Duke.

• NC State came into the game having scored in 22 of its 25 trips into the Red Zone this year, but was limited to 0-1 by the Clemson defense today.

UP NEXT
NC State will return to Carter-Finley next weekend, hosting Boston College at 3:30 p.m. on RSN. The game will be the Pack’s Hall of Fame Day, with the third NC State Athletic Hall of Fame class being inducted the Friday before.
