Wilson #2 Future Coach Playing In NFL?

Published

on

NFL.com’s Bryan Fischer must think very highly of former Wolfpack quarterback Russell Wilson’s football IQ.  Yesterday he posted a piece entitled “15 for ’15: NFL players who would make for good CFB coaches.” Russell ranked second behind a guy you might have heard of…Peyton Manning.  Here’s what Fisher had to say about the possibility of a future Coach Wilson:

Wilson is in many very similar to his energetic head coach, Pete Carroll. It will be years before Wilson even needs to start thinking about what he’ll do after his playing days conclude, but he already checks off plenty of boxes as a charismatic player on and off the field and a smart Xs and Os guy. His history of overcoming doubters would probably serve him well as a coach, too.

How do you think Wilson would do as a College Football Coach one day?  Who are other former NC State football players that you think would make good coaches, and which one do you think would be the best?

Thunder Dan is currently on Staff and I think he will make a great DC or HC one day.
