Ralston Turner Needed 2 Years to Make History

Published

It took only two years for former NC State Shooting Guard Ralston Turner to leave his mark as one of the most prolific three-point shooters in the history of the program. His 171 career three-point field goals made ranks 9th in NC State history. If you were to include Turners’ statistics from his first two seasons at LSU, that number would be 270, and would rank 3rd all-time. His 463 three-point field goal attempts ranks 10th in Wolfpack history, and if you were to include his first two seasons, the number would be 749, which would rank 2nd.

This past season, Turner hit 94 three-pointers, which is the 4th highest single-season total. The 256 attempts this season are the most in a single season by 17 shots.

On December 17th, in a game against Tennessee, Ralston hit 8 three-pointers, which is the 2nd highest total in NC State history in a single game. The 17 shots he attempted from deep that game ties Chris Corchiani for the most ever thrown up in a single game.

Turner now is working hard to take his perimeter talent to the professional level. Thank you for two years Ralston!
